Dr. Judy Christopher is a licensed clinical psychologist, who has been in private practice in Raleigh, NC since 1985. She does individual psychotherapy with adults, college students, and adolescents and she does couples therapy as well. She also leads psychotherapy groups for adolescents, individual adults, and couples. In addition, she leads training groups in mindfulness meditation. Dr. Christopher received her Ph.D. in psychology from North Carolina State University in 1984. She did a clinical internship at Harvard Medical School and the Massachusetts General Hospital in 1978-1979. Dr. Christopher's clients often come into psychotherapy because they are struggling with anxiety, depression, mood swings, or post traumatic stress. Many are dealing with unexpected life circumstances such as relationship stresses, divorce, job loss, or illness. Some are dealing with various kinds of trauma. Others are adjusting to a new phase of life such as marriage, a new baby, or an empty nest.
